"Petsy, Mohair Teddy Bear, 1928 Replica"

This new Teddy bear with a growler was different from its predecessors, both visually and in his design. He had large ears and a pointed muzzle that gave him a childlike look. With his big bright-blue moveable eyes, he could appear merry and cheerful or sometimes confused or maybe just daydreaming in his own little world. These unique glass eyes were designed for that very reason, to offer him with multiple expressions. For this highly valued and exceptional replica, the mohair has been made the same way it would have been made for the original. PETSY is hand-stuffed with fine wood shavings. His inimitable facial expression is not only created by his glass eyes but also by his hand-stitched nose, originally red but now faded over the course of time to a light copper color. But as in the original, the red can still be seen in the underlying felt disc. Part of the 2006 Worldwide Collection.
